Computing
Our Computing curriculum is full of opportunities for exciting and inspiring learning. We will teach the children all the Computing skills that they need to aid their progression through their primary lives and help them prepare for their futures.
This will include areas of the curriculum like Computer Science, Networking, Communications, E-Safety and Multimedia.
Children are taught the correct technical vocabulary and encouraged to use the same words within their work and conversations.
The children are exposed to a variety of different technologies: Microbits, BeeBots, Ipads and Chromebooks.
We always aim to encourage all our children to be independent, as we believe this helps them to be the best learner possible.
Children are encouraged to manage their own risks when browsing the Internet but with the knowledge of the correct procedures of how to report any concerns they have or may find.
E-safety is always a concern with the digital-age forever advancing and at Ankermoor, we consider this to be a high priority.
Our Digital Leaders are available to help with concerns from their peers and will raise anything at frequent meetings with the Computing Leader.
