On Friday 8th October, Ankermoor helped spread awareness of mental health amongst young people. Everyone at school came in wearing yellow and helped provide the message that young people are not alone with their mental health. Children were asked to donate £1 which will be donated to YoungMindsUK. Great work Ankermoor.
During our Special Mention assembly, Mrs Bryan and a couple of her 'Angels' members gave us a important message about why this day is so important. To finish, we all sang a school favourite, 'Ram Ram Sam'. It was amazing to see so many smiles across the hall. The same can't be said for Mr Russell's actions. #PerseveranceMrRussell.
A hall full of smiles!
Enjoyment is one of our school values and this morning we all felt plenty of it!
All day the children have been looking after their mental health and reminding themselves how important it is to do so.
Listening to music during lessons, telling jokes, creating art work and sharing positive messages are a number of activities that have taken place during the day.
