Assemblies
Every morning we start the day together. Our children come into school at 8.40 and sit with their class in the hall - we have 10 minutes of reading. All staff listen to children read, which allows children to have the opportunity to share their love of reading with the different adults cross the school.
At 8.50 we have a morning assembly, led by different members of the school community. We focus on a range of areas including our school values, mathematics and reading.
Every Friday we hold a CELEBRATION ASSEMBLY and we encourage our parents and carers to attend. During celebration assembly we get a snapshot of all the great learning taking place in each class. Year 6 celebrate the attendance scores for the school, they give out awards for reading, mathematics and wellbeing. Our House Captains share our house points and we celebrate together.
There are a range of other certificates given out by staff each week. If a child has been awarded something outside of school, we are happy to celebrate it on our Friday Celebration Assembly.
